About event
The Theater Institute and the Pavle Orságh Hviezdoslav Theater invite you to the ceremonial presentation of the new book of the Theater Institute.
Veronika Kolejáková, Jozef Koleják:
We are going to the theater. My first book about the theater
Illustrated by: Ďuro Balogh
The program is accompanied by Kristína Tormová.
Intended for families with children between the ages of 5 and 10 who are interested in the secrets of the theater backstage. Admission is free.
ABOUT THE BOOK
The book is intended for all young explorers of preschool age and the first grade of elementary school. It opens the door for children to the magical world of the stage and behind the scenes, showing them the theater not only as a source of unforgettable artistic experiences, but also as a place where their future professions can be hidden.
Young readers will explore the entire building - from the entrance through the foyer with its many attractions to the stage and the mysterious backstage. With a cheerful guide, a parrot, they will peek behind the curtain, where the parrot will reveal to them the professional and artisanal secrets of theater operations. Children will also learn about new and fun things that theaters have in store for them, such as exhibitions, plays in unusual places or popular sleepovers.
The information is presented interactively: full-page, detailed illustrations are complemented by text in bubbles or descriptions and playful tasks, such as finding a hidden parrot or counting objects.
Children and adults alike will be delighted by the playset with theatrical professions, which is part of the book.
This unique and imaginatively illustrated book has the potential to fill a gap in the Slovak market and become an ideal gift or teaching aid for kindergartens and primary schools.
