About event
The documentary, mapping more than a hundred years of Czech visual culture, offers the stories of well-known and lesser-known brands and will show that top-notch graphic design is created in the Czech Republic even today. The film's guide is Nicho Lowry, an American born with Czech roots, passionate collector and lover of graphic design, who embarks on an adventurous journey in the footsteps of the best of Czech visual culture. During his wanderings, he meets a number of contemporary graphic designers, as well as the legacy of icons who are no longer alive, many of whom have also succeeded abroad. The film will lead Nich to his own roots through the unfolding of Czech identity and will introduce Czech graphic design to those who do not know the Czech Republic.
The film will be shown in the premises of Museu Kampa, in the exhibition Identity: The Story of Czech Graphic Design. It is possible to purchase a combined ticket for the exhibition and the film (the exhibition must be viewed before the film during the opening hours of the Museum 10-18:00).
