From a design and branding perspective, identity can be perceived at different scales and with varying degrees of impact. State identity works on one of the largest scales and touches the largest groups. It is often closely linked to personal identity, and interventions in it dominate public debates. The identity of the state is specific in that its owner is not a specific individual, but all the inhabitants of the state. Compared to simpler conceptual work, the creation of state identity has one of the largest ideological overlaps in various fields. The master course on state identity thus offers the opportunity to present a sophisticated approach to the topic of creating and interpreting identity and communication at the level of individuals and political entities. Part of the masterclass will be a demonstration of how design becomes a part of and an actor in politics. officially announced a competition to create a unified visual style for central state authorities.

The master class will be led by Jozef Dobrík, who is currently the government's director of creative communication.
