IGersMeet Weltmuseum Wien - Auf dem Rücken der Kamele

IGersMeet World Museum Vienna Saturday, December 7, 2024 | 3:00 p.m. to approx. 6:00 p.m.

Tobias Mörike, curator Weltmuseum Wien, leads us through the exhibition “Auf the backs of camels.”

Special: Bright Hours.

Every first Saturday of the month between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. the Bright Hours light setting in the permanent exhibition is switched on.

Visitors have the opportunity to enter the museum before 3 p.m. using the regular, to experience more subdued lighting and then rediscover the exhibition space in a brighter ambience.

This lighting setting was specially developed for visually impaired people together with the aid community for the blind and visually impaired Austria developed.

For us Instagramers, this special lighting setting is of course also very helpful/a good way to take photos.

ATTENTION: If you would like to take a tripod with you, please let us know in advance and we will then clarify the options.

MEETING POINT & TIME/PROCEDURE

Location: Weltmuseum Vienna, Neue Hofburg, Heldenplatz 1010 Vienna

Meeting point: 2:45 p.m. in front of the museum or, if it's too cold, in the foyer/ticket area

Time: Saturday, December 7th, 2024 3:00 p.m. to open end/6:00 p.m. (museum closes - official end).

Procedure: 3:00 p.m. welcome. Tobias Mörike, curator of the Weltmuseum Wien, leads us through the exhibition “On the Back of the Camels”. The tour will be short and last 30 minutes; Tobias Mörike will be happy to answer any questions afterwards;

From around 3:30 p.m.: free photography in the exhibition, as well as throughout the museum and "Bright Hours"
