Once a year, the JugendKulturService awards the IKARUS Theater Prize to honor outstanding Berlin theater productions for a young audience. The decision as to which productions will receive the coveted prizes is made by an expert jury and a specially formed youth jury.

At the celebratory gala, a total of four prizes will be awarded to the nominated productions and the nominees will present themselves with short excerpts from the productions. There will also be a varied supporting program with music and dance acts, until the award winners are ceremoniously announced at the end.

The award ceremony, which makes the diversity and quality of Berlin theater tangible for young audiences, will take place this year in the Theater an der Parkaue. Admission is free.

Supported by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family and Aktion Mensch, supported by the Theater an der Parkaue – Junges Staatstheater Berlin.
