Illusion of Safety + Noitt + Der verlorene Faden

Illusion of Safety belongs to the experimental industrial scene that was formed in the 80s and 90s around labels like Soleilmoon, Staalplaat, Tesco Organization or Silent Records. You can also find their recordings released by all of them, for example alongside the later labels Die Stadt and Drone Records. The American project, behind which Dan Burke has stood since the beginning, has had various lineups throughout its history since 1983, for a while the all-rounder Jim O'Rourke was a part of it. defines the character of the Illusion of Safety sound. After the initial recordings in the spirit of industrial pop deconstruction, he moved to disturbing minimalist sound art and surreal "found sound" collages. In our country, slightly better-known names from Britain such as Nurse With Wound, The Hafler Trio or Nocturnal Emissions could also form an imaginary reference intersection of styles, but also American companions with whom he has shared recordings, such as Voice of Eye, Life Garden, Randy Greif, Z'EV, Kevin Drumm, Bill Horist, and Jon Mueller. All of them are similarly bewitching sculptors of sound that manages to fascinate and unnerve at the same time.

Illusion of Safety probably last played here in the 2000s in the legendary squat Papírna, and this year it is a European tour to celebrate their forty years of existence.

Honest hardware noise from Prešov, Noitt, civil name Maroš Kovaľ, is otherwise also a member of the Noise Section and the Extreme Black project. If you don't find him behind his boxes, there's a good chance he's busy making tea or watching other people's boxes and setups.

Der verlorene Faden means v translated as a lost thread and is a feminist noise project from Leipzig that was created in 2021. It uses metal objects, real instruments and uncontrolled electronics, all fueled mainly by anger and despair through its screams in the hope of at least a temporary escape. Micha is also part of the duo Wired//Faded.
