About event
Immersion Baptism
by Encarnação
+ dramatico moderato sound performance
~
Immersion Baptism is the title that hovers in the experience between three moments in their different forms - brings together a painting exhibition, presentation of an independent visual archive publication and a sound performance by drammatico moderato, a duo formed by Francis de Assis and Inês Encarnação.
The painting explores the place between the concrete and abstraction through allegory, figuration of symbols that deal with notions of violence and power dynamics, as well as glimpses of the pure and impure. Publication appears as an extension of this practice, the result of the agglomeration of references from different media, used to expand and deepen this same imagetic universe.
In dramatico moderato there is dialogue.
Inês Encarnação is a painter and resides on the south bank of Lisbon.
