About event
[English below] In our own direction – pearl necklaces, reed boats, baskets.
Short films by children from Venezuela, Papua New Guinea and Peru
How do you make a pearl necklace? How do you carve a bow and arrow? How to use a traditional Peruvian reed boat for fishing? Children in Peru, Venezuela and Papua New Guinea learn this from parents or elders. They filmed a small excerpt from their everyday life and are sharing it with you.
The children learned how to make films in workshops in their hometowns. We show the films in the Humboldt Forum in a cinema experience that lets you take part in the lives of the children. A moderator will guide you through the afternoon.
