Nikola Bankov and his release concert with his award-winning band
Internationally renowned saxophonist and composer Nikola Bankov comes with his third album "Evaranted", which really moves boundaries of fusion-jazz music and your instrument. Nikola is the winner of the prestigious Danish Music Awards and is included in the Forbes "30 under 30" list. He comes from Humenné and currently lives in Zurich.
After releasing two successful albums and collaborating with world jazz legends (Randy Brecker, Seamus Blake, Nils Landgren, Tim Lefebvre, David Virelles, James Genus, Gene Lake, Mark Whitfield), Nikola brings his latest album into the spotlight. The music is a mixture of high-energy jazz with Scandinavian synth-pop, which creates a super fresh and original sound that appeals to a younger audience in particular.
"Bankov has good taste, chops and attention on him" - DOWNBEAT
