About event
In Jazz we Trust: Nikolaj Nikitin & Alan Bartuš
The connection of two generations, two distinct authorial worlds and absolute dedication to the genre brings a concert project of two leading personalities of the Slovak and international jazz scene. Established saxophonist, composer and seeker of deep musical concepts Nikolaj Nikitin, known for his ability to connect tradition with the modern avant-garde and his fresh spiritual album Humanity Suite, meets piano phenomenon Alan Bartuš on the same stage. The young giant is currently conquering New York directly from the Manhattan School of Music, he succeeded in the prestigious Herbie Hancock competition and just a few days ago he achieved a historic success for Slovak music - the world's most prestigious jazz magazine DownBeat included him in the exclusive selection of "Jazz Soloists for the Future" as one of the most prominent emerging world personalities. Their joint performance will not offer any sterile playing of notes, but unbridled energy, the synergy of European tradition with the predatory New York school and, above all, absolute freedom in the spirit of the motto that jazz is worth believing.
Come and enjoy an evening where only one rule applies – in jazz we trust.
The number of seats is limited. The back of the bar is a smoking area.
The Fund for the Support of the Culture of National Minorities was supported from public sources.
