Ines Koeltzsch; Před světovou slávou. Nekrology za Franze Kafku a budování literární nesmrtelnosti

Franz Kafka has become an icon of world literature since the 1940s. This glory, however, did not come from day to day. Already after his death in June 1924, it was increasingly written and spoken about in Central Europe. In his lecture on his new book "Vor dem Weltruhm" (Böhlau, Vienna/Cologne 2024), Ines Koeltzsch shows how, through the texts, paintings and spoken words known and unknown authors and the authors remembered Franz Kafka immediately after his death. Special emphasis is on the creation of a Jewish commemorative community, to which the painter and Brno native Clara Epstein contributed. Admission voluntary.
