Infamis – Singles/Album 2025
For many years the band has been trying things out, changing around, discarding, digging out, grinding ideas down to the foundations and patching them up again; sometimes even finds something new in old or vice versa. Now the musicians know what they want to do with it, the plan is now set for 2025. They will release 1 new song each in the next few months, at loose intervals of 4-6 weeks. Online only and garnished with moving images from admired photo and video artists. This small series will be graphically accompanied by Christof Gahlen. Shortly before Christmas, Infamis released their new album, this time on vinyl.

"... The history of the band Infamis is long, the present is thin. Their appearances are rare, their last album is from 2020, since then a few singles, vinyl only. That has style. They were ennobled by Wim Wenders, who took their album "Im Westen der Himmel" on his record label and the cinematic dimension of their music became even more apparent. These urban cowboys make their way in Italian-Western style through Brandenburg, through moors and meadows bordered by pastures, unfolding mysterious depths where others only see surfaces. We meet survivors of an East German-influenced poetry of indignation who warn with force and relentlessness where others have already given up. This may seem a bit out of time, but it is a reminder of the universal character of rock, whose strong voices will never be forgotten. " Christine Heise, RadioEins/Tip Berlin
" ... downright criminal not to know this band. And actually a grateful task to convince as many people as possible that they (like me) had some catching up to do. Why do I think this music is so good? You will feel the same as me after the first listen, only your reasoning may sound different than "like if Tom Waits learned German from Rilke's poems and then the songs that emerged from them became that Soundtrack would have been processed for a spaghetti western.”
