About event
"A working person should not receive benefits," said Marián Jurečka, but instead of arranging with Prime Minister Fiala for us to have "salaries like in Germany", he started the reform of social benefits. This is criticized by experts and non-profit organizations helping people in difficult life situations. 🤷♀️
📃 The current bill will bring a significant reduction in support for many people, including people in rented housing. Among other things, the Housing Allowance will disappear with it. At the meeting, we will talk specifically about what the law can bring - and maybe also about what to do about it?
💡 Lucie Trlifajová, anthropologist and analyst of social policies, will come to the public meeting. It focuses on the issues of poverty and social inequalities, precarization, debt, social protection systems and citizenship. She has published a number of analyzes and expert studies on these topics in the Czech Republic and abroad. He currently works at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University, the Agency for Social Inclusion (MMR CR) and the Center for Social Issues - SPOT. She is the co-author of the Minimum Decent Wage calculation for the Czech Republic.
📌 On Monday, December 9. from 18:00 in Třech Ocásce (class. Kpt. Jaroše 18).

📣 Our initiative was created as a Brno branch of the Tenants' Initiative in response to the housing crisis and the unbearable situation of people in rents. It is founded by people living in rented accommodation, it is not supported by any political party. Our goal is a dignified life in rented apartments, greater legal protection for tenants and mutual assistance. In the local context, we stand behind the transparent housing policy of Brno, the right to the city and public space.
🆘 A self-organized group will always have a stronger position than an individual! Do you live in a rented house and you are not living well? Or do you live in your own, but are bothered by the housing crisis weakening society? Come to our meeting to talk about what's bothering you. Join the Tenants' Initiative! www.iniciativanayamniku.cz
