The program will begin with an introduction to the hosting organizations and the INSPIRE project. A presentation will provide an overview of alternatives to plastic, covering topics such as microplastics in rivers, environmental impacts, and market challenges. The event will then showcase various INSPIRE solutions, including PHA formulations, chitosan nanocoating, and zero-plastic waste shampoos, presented by solution providers and start-ups. A panel discussion will address challenges with scaling innovations, certifications, Austrian policies, and strategies like Reduce, Reuse, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
