👉 The educational program is intended for teachers of the main subject of playing the guitar at primary art schools.
⏳ Scope of education: 50 hours (30 hours face-to-face, 20 distance)
Participation in all face-to-face activities, which will also include practicing songs for the guitar orchestra, is a condition for successfully completing innovative education and obtaining a certificate. The sheet music material will be sent to registered participants along with the education timetable.

Professional education offers a systematic view of current trends in guitar pedagogy in the region of Central Europe. The primary goal is the analysis and comparison of methodological procedures in the Vyšehrad Four countries. Through expert discussion with renowned lecturers, educators will gain a comprehensive overview of how to effectively modify their teaching procedures. A graduate of education will be able to critically evaluate progressive trends and purposefully integrate them into their own educational process, taking into account the individual needs of the current student.

PARTICIPATION FEE: EUR 90.00
The fee includes participation in selected events of the 50th J.K. Mertz Guitar Festival.
The fee does not include accommodation and meal.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 10, 2026, or after filling the maximum capacity of 50 of participants
ℹ️ The educational program is implemented on the basis of the authorization for the provision of innovative education issued to the Július Kowalský Elementary Art School, Laurinská 20, by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic on February 22, 2022. Innovative education increases the qualifications of the target group of ZUŠ teachers, based on the protocol on a successful final presentation. The Július Kowalský School of Arts will issue a certificate of innovative education to a pedagogical employee.
🤝 It takes place in cooperation with the J. K. Mertz Society and the Július Kowalský Basic Art School.
