About event
In April, the Cycle of Concerts Restlessness brings us the perfect marriage between Portugal and Cape Verde. Sérgio eleven with its firm and concrete base: Fado, Acacia Maior & Nancy Vieira with a special spectacle, celebration of the 50th anniversary of Cape Verde.
Sergio Eleven began to sing at 6 years, won the great night of Fado in 2003 and at 17 began to live at night at fado homes. Beginning to sing early on and build in direct contact with the great masters has dazzled up all the worlds that fit within the traditional fado.
With fado as an end to a middle and deep and resounding voice, full of certainty even when you only ask yourself, it is given to the cliff that is singing without leaving your feet on land. On the trip, it takes us all with him so firmly that when we see each other back to the pier, we have the body turned inside out and we finally feel integers.
Greater Acacia, it is a collective that came up as a celebration of life and so the choice of name for the debut album is also that of a Cabo-Verdean tree, referring to its origins. ‘Cymbron Celeste ', published under the tabanka records seal, a tribute, a musical portrait of a very peculiar island nature. Owner of a varied discography, in March 2024, releases his seventh studio album, ‘People’, with ‘Nôve Krêtxeu’, the first collaboration between Nancy Vieira and the Greater Acacia.
The show is based on this trio on stage, where together they will interpret a repertoire that will be a combination of the Cape Verde liberation movement here.
