About event
Nguyen visiting
📅 2/7/2026 | 18:00
📍 Holešovická tržnice, hall no. 11
What happens when you come to visit a Vietnamese household?
Why do we always ask if you have eaten?
And why can an ordinary visit be full of cultural misunderstandings, humor and love?
We invite you to the interactive production U Nguyenů and Strejda Nguyen on a visit, which is part of the accompanying program of the exhibition Little Hanoi, Next Generation.
With humor and perspective, we will introduce you to cultural differences, family customs, generational dynamics and everyday situations that are familiar to many Vietnamese families in the Czech Republic.
The exhibition Little Hanoi, Next Generation presents more than 70 portraits of the second generation of Vietnamese growing up in the Czech Republic.
It captures their personal stories, professional paths and the experience of living between Czech and Vietnamese culture.
The production loosely follows the themes of the exhibition — identity, family, roots and life between two worlds. But this time through a lively, interactive and playful format.
Come and experience the Vietnamese household a little differently. You might laugh. You may remember your own family. And maybe you will understand that some cultural differences are actually just a different way of showing care.
