Inter Arma is a genre-defying metal band from Richmond, Virginia, known for their expansive, atmospheric sound that blends elements of sludge, black metal, doom, death metal, and even psychedelic and Southern rock. Since forming in 2006, the band has earned critical acclaim for their ambitious songwriting, dynamic compositions, and crushing live performances. Their music often features sprawling tracks that evolve from bleak, crushing riffs into haunting melodic passages, showcasing both technical prowess and emotional depth. Albums like Sky Burial (2013), The Cavern (2014), and Sulphur English (2019) have solidified Inter Arma as one of the most innovative and powerful forces in modern extreme metal
