About event
The body is not a collection of separate parts, but a continuous structure in which force, movement and information are transmitted through fascia - a three-dimensional network that connects muscles, bones, organs and the nervous system. Fascia reacts to load, touch, movement and gravity and constantly adapts to how we stand, move and perceive space.
At the workshop we will look at the body as a living system in a continuous dialogue with gravity (with life). Not as something to be "held", but as a structure that can be organized efficiently, with less effort and more ease.
------------------------------------------------
Topics we will cover:
• Fascial connections in the body and their effect on structures
• Body structure in the gravitational field - how the body adapts to the constant pull of gravity
• The relationship between the skeleton, fascia and orientation in space
• Applied anatomy in practice — through touch, movement and inner perception
• Gentle movement and perception exercises supporting integrity, elasticity and wholeness
------------------------------------------------
What you can expect:
A space to slow down, touch yourself, research your own movement and gain a deeper understanding of how the body communicates across its layers. The workshop offers a practical experience, not a performance - it is suitable for everyone:
• movers, dancers, athletes
• therapists and bodyworkers
• even for curious bodies without previous experience
------------------------------------------------
When:
31. 1. 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to approx. 4:00 p.m.
Where:
Drieňová 40, OD Budúcnosťposchodie, 821 02 Bratislava – Ružinov, Slovakia
Lecturer - Marco Klokner
I am the co-founder of Movement LAB, certified Rolfer® and somanaut. I came to work with the body through my own shoulder injury, which led me to a deeper exploration of movement, anatomy and self-knowledge. I studied Rolfing® in Munich in 2020 and since then I have been dedicated to the connection of structure, gravity and perception in the human body.
I am trained in Fascial Manipulation with the Stecco family and also in ScarWork and BoneWork with Sharon Wheeler.
At Movement LAB I create a space for courses and workshops that support the body in integrity, adaptability and natural expression. In movement I draw on contact improvisation, Fighting Monkey®, Tai Ji Quan and Qi Gong — approaches that lead me to curiosity, presence and embodiment.
------------------------------------------------
Price:
regular price: €80 (until 25.1.2026, inclusive)
late turtle: €95 (from 26.1.2026)
Cancellation conditions:
If participation is canceled 14 days (or less days) before the start of the workshop, the cancellation fee is 100% of the workshop price. It is possible to find a replacement for yourself
