The veil between worlds is thin, and so, on the 2nd of November, we invite you to step into the 59th meeting of the International Book Lovers in Bratislava, where stories linger like spirits and imaginations stir. Our venue is Chill Caffe —where assumptions are challenged, and a shadow of mystery beckons us into realms both thrilling and dark.
For this gathering, we shall explore and spread the haunting stories of the mystical landscapes of Stephen King. Choose your favourite King’s novel that has haunted you, unsettled you, or perhaps even called to you from some dark recess of the literary underworld. Whether you delve into the classic horror of The Shining, the sinister resonance of Pet Sematary, or one of the weirdest horror stories like It, come prepared to explore the man, the myth, and the meticulous ways in which he drags readers to the brink of their fears. Share your interpretations, theories, and revelations as we venture together into King’s kingdom of suspense, magical reality and terror.
Of course, there will be space for tales beyond the King-verse, where you’re welcome to share recent reads that have bewitched you, made a great impression on you, or simply ensnared your mind. We’re eager to hear which stories have captured your curiosity and perhaps sent a shiver or two down your spine.
This is a gathering to reconnect with familiar faces and warmly lure newcomers into our ever-growing literary circle. If you have any ghoulish ideas for games or spine-chilling activities, we welcome them; your eerie contributions help cast the enchantment over each gathering.
