About event

🎥 🎬 screenwriter Ivan Passer in Czechoslovakia as a director only one feature film. Unlike the films that Passer made after emigrating to the West, intimate lighting is an example of a "non -man", civilian approach. Passer, like Milos Forman, is interested in the everyday life of ordinary people.
👬 From the meeting of two former classmates from the conservatory, however, with co -screenwriters Jaroslav Papoušek and Václav Šašek made the maximum. 🎼 The first of the protagonists, saintly Peter, continues in Prague in a music career and brought a young lover Štěpa to a friend “in the countryside”. Married Charles resigned from artistic ambitions long ago. He leads a small -town music school, arrives a family house and wins at funerals. Instead of a traditional confrontation of two contradictory life approaches, Passer offers a tragicomic mosaic, imbued with a tested time over the excess time and faded dreams. The chamber stylized narrative owes Josef Střech and Miroslav Ondříček and the non -actors headed by Karel Blažek and Zdeněk Bezuku. The singer and actress Věra Křesadlová (Štěpa) and the forman professional nature of Jan Vostrčil as Charles's father -in -law.
