IOTUNN KINSHIP HEADLINER DK TOUR 2025
In the wake of the release of the band's second album "Kinship", the progressive, melodic extreme metallers IOTUNN will play few, but large and exclusive headline concerts at the beginning of 2025 at some of the country's finest venues - Pumpehuset in Copenhagen, Voxhall in Aarhus and Godset in Kolding.
With Kinship, IOTUNN has published a deep and ambitious artistic work. The album weaves a mythological narrative that draws on themes of human nature, connection, separation and the weight of choice, all while maintaining the band's core identity. With eight songs, the album moves through vast sonic and textual landscapes.
Kinship follows a tribesman in primeval times and takes us on a journey through mysterious and magnificent natural scenarios. In the epic compositions, the main character goes through everything from misty forests to vast, desolate deserts and beyond in an endless journey of the soul in the family room in the longing for true, inner peace within himself and with his surroundings. The introspective journey is created in interaction with the wonderful surroundings in the main character's quest to understand his origin and his true belonging in the world. A journey that offers enormous challenges and may never find its end.
IOTUNN has previously impressed both at home and abroad. In Denmark, they most recently performed with their headliner show at Copenhagen Metal Fest in September and in 2023 they performed with an impressive laser show at COPENHELL. Abroad, the band has recently given concerts at festivals such as 70,000 Tons of metal, Summer Breeze and Midgardsblot and supported Insomnium in Germany and Norway.
So it's a deeply seasoned band that will be touring DK in January 2025.
