About event
This live concert (Saturday evening, April 19, 2025) by Ishtatara will take place in the beautiful Vondelkerk in Amsterdam with special guest Henk van Glabbeek. We will also propose songs from our new album, an unforgettable evening to send peace vibrations all over the world.
We start the evening with live hymns through "Pleiaadès": a Soundhealing choir o.l.v. Iris Pattyn. Iris will invite the visitors to sing along.
A concert by Ishtatara is a unique experience. Imagine the magical voice of Iris Pattyn, which interweaves live with the hypnotic soundscapes of Dimitri (Sunra Project). Henk van Glabbeek has deeply faith in the magic of his instruments from ancient mystical traditions. The string instruments that he plays live are the Persian Tar, Setar, Shhourangiz, the Oed from the Middle East, Chinese Guzheng Harp and the Indian Sitar. He also plays wind instruments such as the Persian Ney, Chinese rooting Xiao Flute, Japanese Shakuhachi, Indian Bansuri, Armenian Duduk, Kaval and the Native Lakota whistle.
You will be taken into a hypnotic journey through time, space and dimensions, inspired by the mystery schools in old-Egypt, Celtic roots, Sufi and various native traditions.
Let your mantra's speech, Mantra's, Mantra, Field is created, with an iridescent shine. Depending on the present "vibe", sounds are created, color songs into completely different shades and playful co-creation with the audience is created. This makes every concert unique in its kind ... as sounded media.

De Bhakti-Yogi, emotional body worker and multi-instrumentalist Henk van Glabbeek has been inspired by musical traditions from all over the world. Between 1980 and 1995 he traveled around the world as a Bhakti-Yogi or Hindemonnik, lived in temples and caves. In those years he has immersed himself in the mysticism of music, mantras, meditation and sound. He gave lectures on Eastern mysticism in various countries and led Mantra-Zanging sessions. After his monk, he returned to the Netherlands. There he immersed himself in anthroposophy and followed several training sessions and a training for emotional body worker. He also founded the One World Jam Foundation with which he organized countless world music events and multicultural jam sessions. Through the musicians of the One World Jam, the different world instruments have already been taken on his path, which he subsequently learned to play passionately with great enthusiasm.
He has played meditative concerts with several musicians in the beautiful Deventer Bergkerk. Also in the Ecstatic Dance scene he became the multi-instrumentalist of the Tribal Dance Orchestra and the Soulgate Collective with which he provided live music for years at Ecstatic Dance Events throughout the country. In Utrecht, Club Lite, 4 x Lowlands with the Yoga Tribe, 2 x Open Up Festival, Healing Festival, Ruigoord Festival, Hieros Games and many other events. In addition, he has developed The Chakra Journey a workshop on music with which he takes the participants through chakra exercises in the dance and eventually supports the Heartbeat Connection Meditation through live soundhealing music.
He has deep faith in the magic of his instruments from old mystical traditions. During his workshops he uses his own, specially composed music and plays live on the special instruments mentioned above. For example, he takes listeners and dancers on a mystical musical journey to the heart.
