Islam is one of the largest and most widespread religions in the world, with about two billion devotees, which means that every fourth person is claiming him. Together with Judaism and Christianity, it is one of the so -called. Abrahamic monotheistic religions. However, it is often mystified or demonized and perceived through prejudice and stereotypes. So what is Islam and who are Muslims?
The aim of this lecture is to familiarize those interested in this religious tradition, in fact on the basis of facts. We will look at what Muslims should believe in and what they should or should not do. History, as well as the diversity and diversity of Islam, will be briefly introduced. Some sensitive and controversial topics such as e.g. The question of wrapping women, the relationship of Islam and Islamism, or the manifestations of Islamophobia. We will also briefly discuss the presence of Islam in our territory from the Middle Ages to the present. Mgr. Attila Kovacs, PhD.
