ISTEN PÉNZE – musical
Based on Charles Dickens' "Christmas Carol"
The Hungarian musical work written from Charles Dickens' classic short novel A Christmas Carol is one of the most played musicals. Its protagonist is the spiritually bleak, aging millionaire, usurer Ebenezer Scrooge, who is only concerned with his financial affairs even at Christmas. However, he does not donate money to the poor because he believes that the weak must perish. This man, greedy to the core, gets one last chance in the form of the ghost of his dead business partner, who "visits" him and invites him to the Christmas Eves of his past life. Wandering through his memories, he realizes how much richer he was when money wasn't the only value he could be enthusiastic about, and the love he kept in the depths of his soul emerges. The memories of our past, the reality of our present, the shadows of our future all testify to who we were, who we are, who we can become. A legendary Christmas story that everyone knows. A true fairy tale, not only for young people. Spectacular, emotional, humor-filled game for the enjoyment of everyone regardless of age.
