🫀From the vibrant streets of Bogotá to the remote corners of the Amazon rainforest, the films we will screen this year bring stories that reflect the human ability to overcome the most difficult trials. Each film offers a window into different realities and opens up an inspiring space to reflect on the human ability to overcome challenges. It reminds us that even in the most difficult moments there is always room for hope, growth and transformation.

A short film prepared for the presentation of the feature film project "Society of Traffic Lights" at the fundraising meetings at the Cannes Festival (L'atelier) in 2008.

Los Panguart, a peaceful indigenous community living in peace and harmony with nature, confronts a powerful enemy who is willing to wreak havoc in order to seize their territory and satisfy their thirst for power and wealth. But Zumack, the son of Chief Ezequí, the leader of the community, bravely confronts the invaders with the help of Mutumbajoy, a wise and mysterious being, the guardian of the jungle, who unleashes his wrath to punish the white man.

Raúl Tréllez, god of dirt, single, incorrigible, recycler obsessed with stubbornness, absolute freedom and caramels, is determined to achieve with his meager knowledge and improvised equipment that he will be able to control the length of the red light on the traffic light for as long as he wants to organize a longer show between jugglers, disabled people and street vendors and other residents of the intersection. Amid delirium and fantasy, the circus aura that surrounds their lives becomes a symphony of despair, hopelessness and anarchy.

Raúl Tréllez, god of mud, el único, el irreparable, un reciclador enajenado por la terquedad, la libertad absoluta y los caramelos, está empeñado en lograr con sus pocos conocimientos e improvisados dispositivos, que la duración de la luz roja del sámáforo pueda ser controlled por él, el tiempo que quiera, para poder montar actos más largos entre malabaristas, personas con discapacidad y vendadores ambulantes y otros inhabitantes de un cruce de calls. En medio del delirio y la fantasia, el halo circus que recubre sus vidas se va convirtiendo en una symphonía al desespero, a la desesperanza y a la anarquía.
