About event
We continue our discussions about books, this time we will present the book How I Lived, How I Was.
Emil Pick wrote the memoirs in the Terezín ghetto as a moral
and ethical legacy for his grandsons Petříček and Jeníček. The boys were safely transported to Great Britain in 1939 as part of the Kindertransports organized by Sir Nicholas Winton.
The manuscript lay forgotten in a cardboard box for almost 70 years before it was accidentally discovered by grandson Jan Pick.
A short video of Nick Winton can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/reel/808961822261541
