Is it normal for five or more translators to translate just 32 short stories by one author? How to find a unified tone in such disparate voices? Is it even possible for one person to translate such an iconic author into a given language? Leading Ukrainian writer Yuriy Andruchovych, author of the Ukrainian translation of Schuz's short stories, Polish translator from and into English Zofia Ziemann and Hanele Palková, translator of Bruno Schulz's Book of Letters, will discuss how to (not) translate Bruno Schulz. Polish with interpretation.
