About event
85 years ago, on 17/05/1941, the Nazis stopped the publication of one of the most popular children's magazines - Mladé Hlasatele. The extremely popular cartoon series Quick Arrows was published on the back of this magazine.
The lecture on the history of this important comic, which influenced many generations of readers, will be led by Mgr. Pavel Kořínek, Ph.D. (Institute for Czech Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic).
The event will take place on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Pedagogical Library. Free entry.
This is an accompanying event to the exhibition Childhood under the swastika, which is currently taking place in the J. A. Comenius Pedagogical Museum.
