What makes an ordinary moment exceptional?

The exhibition Life Itself presents a selection from the long-standing photography collection of Jakub Červenka, which the author understands as a never-ending visual diary. It does not arise according to a pre-prepared script. It grows naturally, photo by photo, like a record of life itself. The author mainly takes photos with a mobile phone. He does not look for exceptional events or spectacular places. His attention is directed to seemingly ordinary scenes, to inconspicuous details of the urban landscape, architecture and nature, where light, color, space, time and human presence are connected by chance. Life Itself is not a closed file but an open process. It is a story about the everyday, about the constant flow of life and about the ability to discover the extraordinary in the simplest. Each photo is a reminder that the world around us is constantly creating unique images, just stop and look.
