Jakub Zitko & Orfanik Orchestra ft. Aneta Langerová & Dorota Barová

Jakub Zitko combines postmodern jazz, electronics, contemporary classical music, rock, alternative and novel musical procedures and textures. It works with sound colored surfaces, electronic sounds and samples that organically complete the atmosphere of songs, or become the bearers of their meaning components. Melodies are atypical and harmony dense, often exceeding common categories of jazz. Music is charged with emotions - energy, melancholy, psychedelia and, last but not least, humor. All this was already reflected in his compositions for bands Muff and Nuo. Now these music ingredients are transmitted to new instrumentation with wind instruments and promise original music - composed and improvised, full of surprising twists in dynamics and form! Inspired by the shape of the geometric surface of the same name - dynamic, three -dimensional and variable - Svita reflects three axes of human experience: place, time and feeling. Eight interconnected as well as contrasting parts creates an image of spatial, time and existential landscape. Jakub Zitko is also the author of texts that are raw, austere, unattended, and always with a relationship with a place (sudete, hyperboloid), inner feelings (my other self, media) or historical events (underground rail). Jiří Šimek - G; Miloš Klápště - B; Daniel Šoltis - Dr; Martin Kopriva - dr; Miroslav Hloucal - Trp, Petr Kalfus - Sax; Štěpán Janoušek - TRB.
