About event
JAM'26 or JAM'96 after 30 years: Slut, Našrot and Body Wounds will remind you in full force of a great event, at which all three bands were also back then.
The festival, which took place on June 20 and 21, 1996 in Prague's Džbán, was a complete revelation - on one stage in two days for the first time in our country such a packed show: Iggy Pop, Minister, Frank Black from Pixies, Shane MacGowan from The Pogues, Jesus Lizard, Echobelly, Chumbawamba, Godflesh... and also three Czech bands who certainly didn't embarrass themselves.

At that time, the organizers added three Czech representatives to the list of foreign star names. All three of them represented current and fresh currents musically at the time - Rany Tela with their post-punk melancholy followed, for example, Nick Cave, Slut opened the hitherto unusual door of hardcore ferocity and paved the way for later post-metal, post-rock, but already then also psychedelic colleagues, and Nášrot proved in practice that the intermingling of hard rock music together with the influences of the coming powerful wave of world popularity music, does not have to be convulsive at all and can enrich both sides.
Recently, we often read about the "mafia nineties", about massive financial diversions of state assets to private accounts, about the connection of politics with the underworld, as well as contract murders and the questioning of freedom at that time. We all know that this was going on at the time, but I firmly believe that most of us who visited the festival at that time did not perceive anything similar. She was enjoying something that no one had even dreamed of until then. That festival was a certain culmination of the first five years after the change of regime, the crowning on the cake of many great concerts and the first arrivals of foreign music idols to us, for them a "backward east".
