About event
Since July 2015, the important American light artist James Turrell (*1943) has been showing a permanent light installation focused on the sunset in the funeral chapel at the Dorotheenstadt Cemetery I. Turrell is fascinated by the diverse manifestations of natural and artificial light and penetrates the border areas of perception in his works. The chapel shines in light, the space is dematerialized and the viewer begins to question his own sense of reality.
