About event
📚 Jan Horák: The wife of the published poet 📚
Director, author: Jan Horák
Scene: Lucie Sedláková Barta
Director assistant: Kristýna Tesařová
Scenography assistant: Kateřina Kejmarová The last part of the free trilogy dedicated to the twentieth century artists. The first part consisted of the production of the Church inspired by the life and work of Luis Ferdinand Célin, which was the first production of Heroes' studies. The second part of the trilogy is the production Golden Cut inspired by the Japanese writer Jukio Mišima. Especially the extraordinary poetry collection Ariel, but also in the prose by a small novel under the glass bell. Plath offers the world an intimate confession of a woman who has decided to be an artist. Among other things, this decision has its naive stern form, which exposes the fact that real artists are rarely born as artists. In its last creative phase, there is a clearly visible tragically acute conflict of extremely vulnerable young women with the conditions in which she wrote, and for which she was not adapted for her hypersensitivity. In the fate of Sylvie Plath there are many current dimensions that we wanted to accentuate. Our aim was to create an autonomous world of a person on the edge of reality and a dream that is looking for its place in this world and evokes demons with which it cannot fight. Power of 2022.
