The opening of the exhibition Jan Pražan Bobrava ⇆ Essex. In its current work, which will be presented in the Ponava Gallery, it is based on the exploration of relational, establishing communication with the natural environment. It turns to the landscape of the Bobrava Nature Park, the Orlické Mountains and also to the Essex landscape, where it locates a parallel between the flood regions of the Stour River with wet swamp areas around the Bobrava River.
***************************************************** 1979 Hradec Králové) graduated from the painting at Brno Faver BUT (Studio of Prof. Martin Mainer) in 2012. He lives and creates in Přeštice near Brno. In its current work, which will be presented in the Ponava Gallery, it is based on the exploration of relational, establishing communication with the natural environment. Despite the initial inspiration of Eastern philosophies, shamanism and original cultures, it now focuses on the primary source and understanding of human being in a wider natural or cosmological unit. In his paintings he turns to the landscape of the Bobrava Nature Park, the Orlické Mountains and the landscape of the English Essex, namely the so -called Constable Country. The author locates a parallel between the wet swamp areas around the Bobrava River and the flooding regions of the Stour River in southeast England, where the first realistic landscape painting of British artist John Constabl was established at the turn of the 18th and 19th
century.
