The demarcation problem – the effort to find a criterion by which we could distinguish science from non-science – represents a traditional challenge of the philosophy of knowledge. In the lecture, we will introduce several "pseudosciences", the ways in which they can be investigated empirically, and what follows from this for orientation in the complex post-factual world of today.
