Jatun Risba - The Medicinal Power of Art
Art for healing, art as a nutrition
at the breakfast in clover will present his artistic practice Jatun Risba (they/their) - Slovenian performer and trasmedia artistic artistic. Their visit will be two workshops, which will take place on 27 and 28 March 2025, which will conclude collective performance in public space. (For the next info, follow us on Instagram.) Their work deals with ecofeminist and posthumanistic discourse through performal art, conceptual art, relationship art and abjection practices, Dรฉtournement and artistic intervention. Jatun cultivates reciprocity between species change and awakening of sensory awareness through Buddhist practices of Vajrajan and deviant use of technology. Their research examines the vital importance and artistic potential of six basic "life affairs" on Earth: air, water, carbon, soil, chlorophyll and (menstrual) blood and offers experience and tactics to overcome anthropocene. The practice of Jatun develops along two main trajectories: art for healing and art as nutrition. Their art is based on their own life experience with radical self-healing from multiple sclerosis (2012-2019). 2023 and 2024, at Meta.Morf 2022 Trondheim Biennale, Norway, in the cloud 9 pavilion on the Biennale in Bangkok in 2020, in Fabbrica del Vapor in r. Milan, Kersnikova Institute and Circulacija2 in Ljubljana, at the Pixxelpoint festival (2008, 2019)โฆ and led artistic lectures and workshops at international level: at DRHA 2024: trivial facilities at the University of Music and Theater in Munich, Academia Sztuk Piekny in r. Wroclaw, at the University of Underground, at Goethe Uni Frankfurt, in the Moving Image Research Lab in r. Montreal, at Strasbourg UNI, at the Taboo conference, Transgression & Transcendence in Art and Science in 2020 and 2023. In 2019 they won Artist Bursary, Erste Foundation Scholarship in 2020 and Social Art Award in 2021. Antennae: The Journal of Nature in Visual Culture, Body, Space & Technology (BST) Journal and UTSANGA.IT magazine. After winning the title BA (HONS) at Naba in Milan won the title of PGC in the field of art and science at Central Saint Martins - University of the Arts London
