the Underdogs' collective presents:

Jay Jayle and Of The Wand And The Moon are coming to Prague as part of a joint tour. They will play on November 18 at the Smíchov club Underdogs'. The Czech-Italian trio Oswaldovi will also perform as a guest.

Musician and artist Evan Patterson is behind Jay Jayle's Kentucky project. Originally a solo acoustic project, it soon grew into a full band, exploring the dark corners of blues, folk, art rock and noise. In this form, the band probably stuck in the memory of the Prague audience, which could have had the honor five years ago at Sedmička. In Underdogs' last year you could enjoy Jay Jayle in a solo version together with the Norwegian noise rockers Årabrot. Patterson also performed in our basement in 2019 as the frontman of the heavy blues noise rock band Young Widows. This time he can look forward to Jayle Jayle with the whole band.

With Jayle Jayle to Underdogs' well-known Danish multi-instrumentalist Kim Larsen aka Of The Wand And The Moon will come to Prahy, who places his dark neo-folk narrative in an experimental rock context. Last year, OTWATM performed as a four-piece at the Underdogs' concert, this time Larsen will play a more intimate solo set.

In the evening, the trio opens to Oswald, consisting of Andrea Rottin (vocals, guitar), Kateřina Malá (drums, vocals) and new permanent member Adam Šťasta (bass guitar, vocals). The music of the band Oswaldovi, as the title of their current album 'Across the Borders We Built' (Korobushka Records) suggests, is essentially outside of genre boxes. Their music absorbed the influences of psychedelic rock, Tuareg blues, spaghetti western soundtracks, southern European folk and drone minimalism, to which more frequent disturbing noise passages and occasional trips into harder musical genres were added with the last record.
