JAZZ DOCK ORCHESTRA plays Thelonious Monk

As part of the December concert, our big band will focus on the works of the brilliant pianist and composer Thelonia Monk. In the first part of the concert, a suite consisting of original arrangements of Monk's compositions will be heard, which the arranger Jan Jirucha has connected in such a way that they form a large whole of a multi-movement composition. The second set will feature mostly arrangements played by Woody Herman's or Buddy Rich's orchestras, as well as one original composition by Jan Jirucha dedicated directly to Thelonia Monk.
