JAZZ DOCK ORCHESTRA plays Miles Davis

The Jazz Dock Orchestra dedicates its May concert to the centenary of the birth of one of the greatest personalities of modern music of the 20th century – trumpeter and composer Miles Davis. The program will offer a cross-section of his work: from the legendary project Birth of the Cool, through lyrical ballads and modal jazz (Blue in Green, Milestones, Flamenco Sketches), to Spanish inspiration (Saeta) and the later fusion of jazz with funk and rock (Maiysha). During the evening, music will be heard that shows Davis as an artist constantly searching for new paths, a creator who repeatedly changed the face of jazz and inspired entire generations of musicians.
