Jazz on the Roof: O.J. Žlábek Blues Band

O.J. Zlábek Blues Band will perform as part of the Jazz on the Roof series on the roof of the Jazz Dock.

O.J. Žlábek is a Czech harmonica player and singer playing authentic Chicago blues. His music is inspired by blues legends such as Little Walter, Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, BB King, Freddie King and others. The young musician puts his whole heart and soul into his speech, voice and typical sound. He plays and sings with great commitment and energy, but also with great knowledge and insight into the history of the blues, especially with regard to harmonica playing. O.J. Žlábek started out as a regular guest of René Trossman's blues jam sessions at the club U Malého Glena and founded his own band in 2017. In his short career, he has already managed to perform in most Prague clubs and also had the opportunity to play with Chicago singer Lorenzo Thompson on his recently released album I Got Your Back.

Performance: Ondřej Žlábek (accordion, vocals), Jiří Maršíček (guitar, vocals), Jan Svorník (bass), Marcus Jurvič (drums)

Jazz Dock brings a summer concert series called Jazz on the Roof. From May to September, a small chamber group will perform on the roof of the Jazz Dock every Saturday afternoon to delight with the peaceful summer atmosphere of acoustic jazz.

In case of bad weather, the concert will take place inside the club.
