Celebratory premiere of Peter Kerekes' documentary comedy It's in the Stars, with the participation of the creators.

As a pre-film, we will screen a short film by Marie-Magdalena Kochová 3 MWh, which is an original poetic reflection on the relationship between man and nature.

A native of Naples, Luciana is one of the advocates of active astrology. As she likes to say: it's a simple but effective way to change your destiny by taking a trip to the exact destination on your birthday. Luciana's work could be characterized as the work of an esoteric strategist combined with a travel agency. While triangulating latitude, longitude and ephemeris on maps, it also keeps a close eye on the best deals on Skyscanner. Luciana's office is located in a dilapidated castle in the middle of cornfields. There is definitely no shortage of clients. After all, who wouldn't want an easy recipe on how to change your life, find the love and fulfillment of your dreams... And why not trust the stars?

In his unique documentary comedy, Peter Kerekes follows the amazing trajectories that this popular Italian fortune teller sets out for her clients. It's in the Stars tenderly and understandingly touches on transience, awkwardness and the need to search for hope and the meaning of existence, even if it should only be fleeting mirages.

The world premiere of the film took place at the IFF in Venice in the Horizons section.
