About event
Jeangu Macrooy - Young, Awkward & Lonely Theatertour
In 2025 Jeangu Macrooy, known for his soulful voice and wide musical palette, returns to the theaters. After a successful year in which he played the leading role in "Jesus Christ Superstar" Jeangu will come this fall with a brand new album entitled Young, Awkard & Lonely.
In the theater concert of the same name, he sings the Awkwardness of the Life and looks for connection. The show starts intimate and gradually builds up to a large ensemble, in which he is accompanied by his regular band and three singers of the Zo! Gospel Choir. The songs that will be played combine personal reflections on life with social themes such as queernness and colonialism.
