Half-Nigerian learns that the grandfather was a concentration camp commander whom the world knows from Steven Spielberg's film "Schindler's list"? It is a shock that shakes all of her self -image: at the age of 38, Jennifer Teage experiences with a chance. In a library she finds a book about her mother and her grandfather Amon Göth. He was one of the most unscrupulous mass murderers of the Nazi era. His partner Ruth Irene, Jennifer Teege's beloved grandmother, commits suicide in 1983.
Jennifer Teage is the daughter of a German and a Nigerian. The mother released her for adoption. She grew up at a foster family in Munich. Now she is confronted with a family secret that she no longer makes her rest. Last but not least, this discovery was shocking because Teege studied in Israel, speaks Hebrew and feels closely connected to the country. Together with journalist Nikola Sellmair, she researches her family history, seeks the places of the past again, travels to Israel and to Poland. She meets her mother again, whom she has never seen for many years. Step by step, the history of a liberation becomes from the shock of the abysses of their own family.
