«This call it for you and you for another one”-here is one of the starting points for the Jenae Compositor Leo (1854-1928) Jenůfa with his boyfriend, the young Stewa of whom he is secretly pregnant, and the half brother of Stewa, Laca, who loves Jenůfa. The plot unfolds in a small village and revolves around family conflicts that are thickening until the tragedy knocked on the door, in an infernal succession of events. K composed a powerful song and loaded with emotion - but it took a decade until it reached what it wanted. The musical language will drink to the traditional music of Morávia, the region where the opera takes place.
small rivalries and antipathies have only been presented in Prague in 1916, reaching almost immediate fame and establishing Janáček as a figure of the Czech opera, with representations in more than 60 theaters outside the composer's life. /> Age classification M/16
