The film received several awards and nominations, including a nomination for the prestigious Golden Globe, but above all it won the hearts of millions of viewers around the world, who were charmed not only by its period original treatment, consisting of a strong cast of singers and actors.
The film was sent to the Czech Republic was not shown in television format until 1990, and not long after that the work received its musical form in our country, in a Czech translation, with singers Dan Bárta, Kamil Střihavka and Bára Basiková in the title roles.
