John Allan is the director of Avanti Architects and is known primarily for his work in the field of preservation and restoration of the architecture of the modern movement. Avanti specializes in the reconstruction and modernization of listed modernist buildings, as well as the integration of new buildings into historic or otherwise sensitive environments. Allan is also the author of publications on Lubetkin, the modern movement and the conservation of modernist buildings.
