About event
John Medeski - piano
When John Medeski pulls up the stool in front of the keyboard of his piano, he probably doesn't know what he's about to hear. His solo evenings are not concerts in the traditional sense, they are expeditions into the unknown, full of subtle variation so that you hardly notice how the musical landscape around you is slowly but steadily changing.
The American is usually on the road with his famous trio “Medeski, Martin & Wood” or other jazz legends such as John Zorn, Jack DeJohnette, Christian McBride, John Scofield (particularly worth mentioning is the monumental album A Go Go) or Marc Ribot. We are all the more pleased to welcome Medeski to the ZigZag Jazz Club for one of his solo concerts, which has become a rarity!
