John Rutter - Magnificat v Bratislave

The new evangelical church on Legionárska Street in Bratislava will be filled with the music of the most famous living author of choral compositions from Great Britain, John Rutter. Captivating rhythms and at the same time deep lyrics will arouse great interest even in the average listener. "We don't often see an unconventional rendition of the Magnificat theme supported by a chamber orchestra and up to two percussionists in classical music," said Petra Torkošová, conductor of the Technik STU Choir, about the forthcoming concert in Bratislava. "I would compare this work to, for example, Hans Zimmer's film music - Pearl Harbor."
