About event
Guided tour with the curator of the exhibition Tomáš Pospěch.
The photographs of Josef Koudelka's latest collection were created over a long time, he took them between 1991 and 2017 at more than two hundred archaeological sites in the Mediterranean, including Albania, Algeria, Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Croatia, Italy, Israel, Jordan, Cyprus, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Portugal, Greece, Slovenia, Syria, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey. They were already represented in several samples in Koudelk's extensive retrospective The Returns organized at the Museum of Applied Arts in Prague in 2017.
Photographs from the Ruiny project are part of a generous gift that the author gave to the Museum of Applied Arts in Prague in recent years. The donation already consists of two and a half thousand photographs from his life's work.
